Manly-Warringah and NSW SpeedBlitz Blues batsman Tim Cruickshank will lead the Futures League team in their four-day fixture against Queensland at Blacktown International Sportspark starting next Monday (28th).
Cruickshank, who last weekend became the leading ever run-scorer in the history of the Manly-Warringah Cricket Club, when he broke the record of 9343 runs set by Eddie Robinson in 1966, will lead a side packed with talent.
Sean Abbott, Josh Lalor and Nic Maddinson all played in the previous Bupa Sheffield Shield match in Canberra, while Cruickshank himself, Nic Bills, Luke Doran, Daniel Hughes and Kurtis Patterson, have all played either First Class cricket for New South Wales or KFC Big Bash cricket for the Sydney Sixers or Sydney Thunder.
In addition, there are opportunities for some promising youngsters to impress with right-arm swing bowler Matt Foster from Blacktown playing his second match, while debuts are given to North Sydney wicketkeeper Jay Lenton and Sydney right-arm off spinner Manjot Singh
