Tickets have been selling at a rapid rate for International cricket this summer with the visit of England proving to be as popular as ever amongst cricket fans.
The response from the Australian Cricket Family priority presale has been strong with almost 230,000 fans buying tickets to the 2013-14 International Cricket Summer across the nation, with over 40 000 tickets having already been sold to matches in Sydney alone this summer.
The General Public on-sale begins on Wednesday 17 July and tickets for Days 1 and 2 of the Commonwealth Bank Ashes Test at the SCG are limited. With the match starting on Friday 3 January, there are still plenty of great seats available for Days 3 and 4 to watch Australia play for the urn. Quality seats are also still available to the Carlton Mid ODI at the SCG (Sunday 19 January) and the KFC T20 INTL at Stadium Australia (Sunday 2 February), where cricket’s greatest rivalry will continue in the shorter forms of the game in the New Year.
Should any seats become available after the public on-sale and closer to the Test, these tickets will be able to be purchased via Ticketek at : www.ticketek.com.au
Cricket NSW Chief Executive Andrew Jones has been delighted with the response by cricket fans: “It is great to see that England’s visit to Australia continues to generate strong interest among cricket fans in NSW. The Commonwealth Bank Ashes Test match at the SCG is always special and with Sydney only hosting one Carlton Mid ODI and one KFC T20 INTL outside of the Test match I urge all fans to purchase their tickets now to avoid missing out.”
