The New South Wales selectors have named Hawkesbury’s Shane Mott as a replacement for Josh Lalor, for next week’s 2nd X1 fixture against Victoria in Melbourne.
The left-arm paceman, who has been one of the most successful bowlers in Sydney Grade cricket over the past three seasons, gains his opportunity due to Josh Lalor heading to India as part of an Indigenous Development squad. Lalor, will captain the Indigenous squad, which was selected from performances at the Imparja Cup last year, in a series of matches in Mumbai and Pune. The squad departed last Sunday (14th) and will return on Saturday 27th October.
The rest of the squad is the same as the one which had the better of a draw with Western Australia at Hurstville Oval last week.
