NSW Blues return to action at the SCG on Wednesday

The NSW Blues return to the domestic scene with a crucial Bupa Sheffield Shield match against arch-rivals Victoria at the SCG on Wednesday.

Currently sitting second on the table, four points behind the Redbacks with four matches left, the Blues will field a strong side, despite the absence of several of their big name players who are in South Africa.

The team will again be led by wicketkeeper Peter Nevill and features the return of left-arm spinner Stephen O’Keefe. O’Keefe, has recovered from dislocating his shoulder in the Big Bash match against the Sydney Thunder on January 25th.

O’Keefe, sits in joint first place on the list of Shield wicket-takers this season with 24 victims, while the pace bowling trio of Doug Bollinger, Trent Copeland and Josh Hazlewood, will be backed up by all-rounder Sean Abbott who has 17 wickets to his name in the competition already this season.
