NSW Blues named to face Victoria

The NSW Blues head to Melbourne tomorrow in preparation for their Bupa Sheffield Shield clash against Victoria at the MCG (November 6-9).

Selectors have made three changes to the team that lost to Tasmania with Sean Abbott, Kurtis Patterson and Peter Nevill coming into the side. The trio replace Trent Copeland, Josh Hazlewood and Ryan Carters.

Copeland is unavailable after being selected in the Australia A team play England in Hobart, while Hazlewood has been rested from this match following a heavy workload over recent weeks.

Carters makes way for the return of wicketkeeper Peter Nevill who missed the team’s opening Bupa Sheffield Shield match against Tasmania with a hamstring injury.

The full squad is:
Michael Clarke (captain)
Sean Abbott
Doug Bollinger
Scott Henry
Nathan Lyon
Nic Maddinson
Peter Nevill
Stephen O’Keefe
Kurtis Patterson
Steve Smith
Gurinder Sandhu
David Warner

The 12th man will be announced on the morning of the match.

The NSW Blues are currently fourth after one round of the Bupa Sheffield Shield.
They secured first innings points against Tasmania but lost outright by two wickets on the final day after a brilliant century from Alex Doolan.
