NSW Blues name thirteen for Ryobi Cup match against Western Australia

Cricket NSW selectors have named a squad of thirteen for the Ryobi Cup match against Western Australia at Hurstville Oval on Sunday.

After going down narrowly to Victoria in their previous encounter the NSW Blues will be hoping that a change of venue brings the desired result. Having played their first two matches at Bankstown Oval, Sunday’s encounter against the Warriors will be at the picturesque Hurstville Oval, home of the reigning First Grade Premiers St George.

Hurstville is the home ground of both Josh Hazlewood and Kurtis Patterson, who are both in the thirteen, although Patterson’s availability will be dependent on being passed fit after injuring his finger in the first match of the competition against Tasmania.

Nic Maddinson also returns to the squad after making his debut for the Australian T20 team in India.

The full squad is:
Steve Smith (Captain)
Sean Abbott
Doug Bollinger
Ryan Carters
Josh Hazlewood
Nathan Lyon
Nic Maddinson
Peter Nevill
