The NSW Blues will chase their 46th Shield title, and first since 2007-08, when they take on Western Australia in the five-day Bupa Sheffield Shield Final at Manuka Oval, starting on Friday (21 March).
The Blues have won the Shield on 45 occasions, while Western Australia have triumphed 15 times, with the Warriors most recent victory coming in 1998-99.
The teams have met twice in the final, with the Blues triumphing by 54 runs in 1982-83, while the Warriors won in 1991-92, by 44 runs.
After Michael Clarke was ruled out through injury, Steve Smith take a squad of thirteen with him to Canberra.
With Doug Bollinger missing the match after being called up to the Australian T20 squad, Moises Henriques returns, along with pace bowler Gurinder Sandhu.
A decision on the final starting X1 will be made on the morning of the match.
