From today the name of the New South Wales cricket team will change from the RTA SpeedBlitz Blues to the NSW SpeedBlitz Blues.
The change in name reflects the proclamation of Roads and Maritime Services on 1 November.
The RTA sponsorship of the New South Wales cricket team has been one of the longest in the history of Australia sport.
Season 2011-12 represents the 10th year of the association between the two parties.
Cricket New South Wales Chief Executive David Gilbert acknowledged the change: “With the formation of Roads and Maritime Services the name of the team will change to the NSW SpeedBlitz Blues. We are delighted the current sponsorship is entering its 10th season and we look forward to continuing to work together to educate the community about the dangers of speeding.”
