Jeff Cook to captain New South Wales in the Imparja Cup

Current Western Suburbs Grade cricketer Jeff Cook will captain the New South Wales Imparja Cup team in this year’s National Championships in Alice Springs starting on February 17th next year.

Cook, who is a former New South Wales Country captain, will lead a 13 man squad full of talent. Included in the squad are two debutants in Lain Beckett and Harrison Kelly. Beckett, is a Cricket NSW U17 Academy squad member from Illawarra, while Kelly is a former NSW U17 captain from the Central North region.

The New South Wales squad has ten players returning from last season’s Championships. NSW SpeedBlitz Blues bowler Josh Lalor was not considered due to State matches being on during the period of the Championships.

New South Wales will be trying to win their third Championship in a row.

Jack Manning Bancroft – Uni of NSW
Lain Beckett – Illawarra
Dan Caldwell – Mosman
Jeff Cook – Wests ©
Damien Duroux – North West Sydney
Andrew Gordon – Wests
Kris Halloran – Central North
Harrison Kelly – Central North
Aaron Muir – St George
Nathan Price – Randwick-Petersham
Pat Rosser – Western
Tyrone Thomas – Southern
Jake Turner – Easts
