NSW Blues opening batsman Scott Henry will captain the NSW Futures League side in their four-day fixture against Western Australia in Perth starting next Monday.

Henry leads a strong New South Wales outfit that includes First Class experience in Nic Bills, David Dawson, Daniel Hughes and Josh Lalor, in addition to some outstanding young talent. In terms of youth, 16 year-old Jake Doran is seen as a star of the future.

Doran, will break a long-standing record during this match by becoming the youngest player to make his NSW 2nd X1/Colts debut, since Doug Walters scored an unbeaten 140 for NSW Colts against Queensland in November 1963.

Doran, will be 16 years – 316 days, when the game commences on Monday, which will make him three days younger than Walters was in 1963.

The promising Fairfield-Liverpool left-hander is the younger brother of current Sydney Thunder spinner Luke Doran, and has been christened by many top judges as one of the brightest batting prospects in Australian cricket.
