Haddin to miss Ryobi Cup clash with Western Australia

NSW SpeedBlitz Blues wicket-keeper Brad Haddin missed yesterday’s Ryobi Cup clash with Western Australia at the SCG.

In light of the approaching International and Domestic schedule, Brad has withdrawn from this match on the basis of balancing his workload returning from injury, particularly in light of the short turnaround between games. Brad will re-join the squad for the next round of Sheffield Shield and Ryobi Cup matches commencing in Tasmania next week.

Peter Nevill will now take over the wicket-keeping duties, while Nic Maddinson comes into the side. Nic had been playing in the Futures League match at Blacktown International Sportspark, but has been withdrawn from today’s play. He will resume in that match tomorrow.

Luke Doran will act as 12th man for today’s match.
