The club has been named after Sir Donald Bradman’s unparalleled Test cricket batting average. The 99.94 Club has been designed to provide much-needed support for the charitable work of the Foundation. It is this average which exemplifies the magnitude of Sir Donald’s achievements compared to all others in the history of cricket. The Bradman Foundation was established in 1987 to create a living centre for cricket. It is based in Bowral NSW – the town where Sir Donald Bradman grew up and began his cricketing career – and operates the Bradman Museum of Cricket and fully maintains Bradman Oval. The Foundation is a non-profit public trust and its activities include the Bradman Scholarship Program, junior cricket coaching in both residential and non-residential camps, and the provision of an education program through the Museum and the Foundation website. It is funded wholly by its operations, membership, donations and fundraising functions. The Foundation also works to assist other charitable organisations, particularly those associated with children. For example, an educational scholarship has been created in the name of the 99.94 Club to be awarded annually at the Bradman Gala Dinner. Also, we will host a fully funded residential camp at Bradman Oval for underprivileged children each year.
