Owing to recent illness, the advertised performer, Geoff Harvey, unfortunately is not able to perform on Wednesday 6 June.
Two talented young musicians from Macarthur Anglican School, Benjamin McKenzie and Angus Key, will present this recital. Benjamin McKenzie is a scholarship Year 12 student who has already gained his AMusA on piano with distinction. Benjamin is also a talented organist and at Wednesday’s recital he will be performing on the St Jude’s Organ. He will play works by Bach, Buxtehude, Pachelbel, Mendelssohn, Rheinberger and Thalben-Ball. Benjamin is aiming to study Music full-time at the Sydney Conservatorium in 2013.
Angus Key plays saxophone and is a scholarship student in Year 8 at Macarthur. He is a member of the School’s concert and stage bands. Angus will play the most famous work by the twentieth century French composer Paule Maurice and be accompanied on piano by former Macarthur student Lloyd Grant.
Lunchtime recitals commence at 1.15pm and last approximately thirty minutes. Admission is by donation.
