Bundanoon Winterfest 2012- A week long festival of events, dinners, movies, markets, workshops and concerts aimed at getting you out and doing stuff! Opening night Friday 1st July is a street party in the main street of Bundanoon with food stalls, braziers, local wine tastings, gluewien, jumping castle, face painting, balloon sculpting, “Join the Club Expo” and Kids “Arthead” Art exhibition and to keep everyone moving and grooving, local musicians will be playing. Other activities during Bundanoon Winterfest include.. the July installment of the “Piano at 10″ concert series featuring WSO members Jesse Pinazza and Sarah Hindson, Movie in the Hall – the MGM classic “The Festival of Comedy”, yuletide dinners, A Southern Highlands Emerging Talent Concert, Ballroom/latin dance classes, Second Hand Sunday markets at the Public School on the market Sunday, a workshop series including Sourdough breadmaking , Citrus preserving, Soft Cheese making, Specialty Scarf making and Nuno Cobweb Felting. Just for the kids for the holiday period, Pat Hall – recently retired environmental officer with the Nat Parks – will be holding two environmentally based workshops with heaps to do and learn for the 8-13 yr olds. The festival rounds up with a family Bushdance featuring the Paddys River Bushband and an afternoon of fireside Poetry at the Pub. So, there is heaps to do for all ages, and no excuse not to get out and join the fun this Winter!
